The SanDisk website lists only Windows as a compatible OS for this device, but I have seen ones like it listed in other posts under the lsusb command. Just my two cents. Upon inserting the new SD-flash card the card was mounted on my desktop and iPhoto started up as expected. If it is, be patient, it may take a bit, but it may finally mount. This worked like a charm I must say. I did not even get around installing the accomp.

Gave my daughter one for a imagemate 5 in 1 reader last Christmas and I’ve been trying to find devious ways of getting her to give it to me in exchange for my older Olympus ever since! Question updated with response to tail command. My iPod connects without any probs. May 21, 6: Canon Ixus I’ve just finished uploading the images to iPhoto using the card reader in question and new flash card.

Thank you for your kind assistance. Just my two cents. This particular ImageMate model is very affordable, not to mention small enough to fit in the smallest of camera bags and cases.
May imagemate 5 in 1 reader, 2: Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. I thought I would try another tail imagemate 5 in 1 reader.
My impression is that the system can recognize the reader and flash card, because when I open disktool and try to operate the flascard, insert the flash card into reader, eject the card and try to mount it etc. I’ve tried to connect miagemate card reader and the same flashcard to my linux pc and it works fine doing autorecogniction, autoimport etc.
This worked like a charm I must say. I should mention that SanDisk released a firmware upgrade that allows it to read sdhc cards which I also need help figuring out how to install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The read and write speeds were very consistent and in HD Tach, I had virtually perfect lines going across the test graph–which indicates a well-built product. May 20, 3: MS-DOS 16bit then the card will show on desktop. New USB device strings: Miagemate this doesn’t fix the problem you may need to do an “archive and install”, though. After backing up the pictures you may want to use that to format the media instead and see if the camera can handle readeer.
